The DartsInStoke Darts Academy is aimed at players aged between 8 - 16
The aim of the academy is to help players learn more about the sport and compete in the JDC in a safe and enjoyable environment
We do not operate as a darts clubs, which means if you are looking to just come and play games of 501 every week, we are not for you. Under the guidnace of our JDC Level 2 Qualified darts coach and Accredited SightRight coach, players will be tested with different challenges each week which will hopefully expand the way they look and practice darts.
Players are required to attend 1 session a week and minimum of 6 a season to compete on the JDC Tour and OOM
We will be holding in January a couple of open sessions which we will post the info about on here and on our Facebook page.
These sessions will be an opporuntiy for players and parents to come along and see how a typical Academy session is run here at the Academy, we will be inviting parents from our Register Interest list first to sessions then openeing up to all to come along and see a session in action.
We will only have 8 places available to offer to NEW students for 2025 and this will be done based on if the player looks like they want to improve their game and understadning of the game, alongside other factors. After this we will return to a waiting list.
ACADEMY LEAD COACH
SHAUN ROGERS
I have played darts for over 20 years, and i have been a full time darts coach for the last 4 years.
I'm a JDC Level 2 Qualified Darts Coach and SightRight accredited coach also, which allows me to offer better coaching to the players that join us at the Academy.
I have previously been a football coach so i understand the importance of building sessions to help develop players in areas that they need to improve.
The aim of our academy is to help the younger players improve their darts and understanding of the game, by the way of weekly structrued practice.
